Started in Spring 2003, Highland-Instinct - then known under the alternate name of SkiHighland - was born. Based in the heart of the Scottish Highlands, Highland-Instinct has - and continues to - become increasingly well known within the Scottish mountain sports fraternity as being both a resource and a hive for likeminded individuals.

For 2007 Highland-Instinct took its continual development a stage further with an emphasis on providing more information for the end user in a move which it is hoped will appeal to all hill users, whether novices or experts, weekend warriors or all-weather zealots.

While no longer offering independant snow reporting, originally the fundamentally most important aspect of the website, Highland-Instinct will continue to grow and branch out into other fields.

Run by Jamie, the one to blame for this whole thing, and our very busy webmaster, Highland-Instinct has - over the course of its short but colourful history - seen a few lows, but now in 2008, whatever your choice of mountain tool, sit back and enjoy the ride, because it's time to get ready for the highs.
