Ice covered the upper mountain today, with the pistes not much better. In the Ptarmigan Bowl, there was some slightly softer snow, but also some ice cubes where the ice had been broken up by the pisters. An excellent cover, with the Ciste Gully also now do-able to the foot of the Coire na Ciste T-Bar. The West Wall Poma didn't run due to the ice.
The link between the Ptarmigan and the Traverse is now better, though stay on the track as elsewhere is icy. The Traverse itself offers an excellent run of softer snow over a firm base, and is wide. The 105 has some rocks, but generally OK. Coire Cas offers the best snow on the mountain, as the lower altitude means that the snow is softer. The Gunbarrel is closed, with walking involved on the Zig Zags after the first 3/4 of the top leg.
