Last day of the season on CairnGorm - it was only really the CairnGorm hardcore that came out today. The sun came out once late morning, but was again replaced by cloud and bad visibility.
At first the snow was hard and icy, before softening gradually during the day. You can slide from the top to the bottom of the Ptarmigan Bowl, and from the top of the Traverse down Coire Cas to the top leg of the Zig Zags. Coire Cas involves a walk to the top of the Traverse, and a walk from the Zig Zags to middle station.
I forgot my camera today, but thankfully Helen Rennie didn't. So thanks to her for today's pictures.
