Bad visibility at first, then excellent weather for the rest of the day, before the light went flat again at the end. The 18 inches of fresh snow in the past few days certainly wasn't an exaggeration, with fantastic conditions across the mountain. The fresh snow is lying on top of an older base, guaranteeing fantastic conditions.
Runs across the mountain are now complete, though the Ciste Gully, West Wall and East Wall are now closed due to a high avalanche risk, but there is still some fantastic off-piste to be found in other areas (basically anywhere else!).
This is now recognised as being the best day of the 2005 season, so prepare to bask in its glory!
