Visibility was pretty good today although the cloud did roll in temporarily on the highest areas from time to time, though it remained dry all day.
On most runs the snow was generally firm with some windblown power especially on the Traverse and 105. The White Lady was nice at top but chopped up and scraped towards the M1 poma. The best off piste snow was on the Coronation Wall area of the mountain, although there were plenty of windblown ridges about.
Some nice snow on the upper areas of the East Lady but crusty on steeper areas. The off piste on the East Wall-side above the Ciste Bowl (to the side of the Ptarmigan T-Bar) quite firm. Traverse/105/Cas had some good windblown powder but firm patches too which improved as the day progressed. The Zig Zags are generally firm but improved during day.
The M2 and Daylodge are now firm all the way with narrow sections on the steeper pitches. Dodgy lower down, but nevertheless provides a way down to the Daylodge for experts, and is preferable to the Carpark runs which are now broken but you can still manage to find a line. The Ptarmigan bowl had a mix of firm snow and windblown powder - still loaded though - the Ciste Fairway was similar.
