Lifts continue to spin at CairnGorm at the weekends, and lift-served turns in June are starting to look more likely. Stay tuned to the snow reports for more.
Today was the 31st May 2010, and the season continues. Tomorrow is June, but the snow is still in plentiful supply on the slopes of CairnGorm. Coire Cas (via the Gunbarrel) is complete to mid-station, as is the White Lady - but with one or two very short breaks. There is also an assortment of rails, jumps and hips in the terrain park in the Ptarmigan Bowl.
Roasting day on the hill today - suncream and shades weather, though even the t-shirt wearers were sweating buckets. We did a few runs in resort, before heading over to Sneachda for some kilted descents of Jacob's Ladder and Aladdin's Couloir. Having the kilt around the shoulders at least removed the sweat problem [though this was later solved entirely by jumping into Loch Morlich]
Here's looking forward to more of the same in June.
