 Brian having recently spent a part of his life in Iran. Gordon had recently left University in Edinburgh with a joint Honours in BSc, in Mathematics and Computer Science. The geometric, stylised designs of the tribal rugs were having a great influence on him at this time. He began as a private collector then embarked on dealing in 1989. Gordon opened up Gallery Persia - a purpose built gallery in the spacious grounds of his house to the south-east of Inverness, Capital of the Highlands. Situated between the town and Culloden Battlefield, Gallery Persia enjoys fine views over the Moray and Beauly Firths surrounded by the mountains of the Highlands. |
