• Car
From just off the A9 Trunk Road at Aviemore, follow the B970 approximately 9 miles through Glenmore and up to the CairnGorm carpark. Refer to our
Route Finder to help plan your trip by road (note that the journey times are innaccurate).
• Train
The train station in Aviemore is connected with the rest of the UK rail network. Look at the
First ScotRail website for train times. From the train station, there is a public bus service running from the railway station to CairnGorm.
• Bus
Bus companies operate regular services to Aviemore from across the UK. In Aviemore, a bus service (number 31 - "Cairngorm Ski Area") is regular throughout the day from Aviemore to CairnGorm. Timetables are available throughout the area. Between Inverdruie (near the bridge) and CairnGorm a hail-and-ride operation is in place.
• Air
Numerous airlines operate flights to Inverness. Car hire, train or bus can transport you the additional 30 miles down the A9 (approximately 1 hour) to Aviemore.
